If a seller can't give you the brand name of an item it is generally cheap Chinese stuff. Sellers can buy these items from Poshmark wholesale site or Chinese sites. No brand names, in my case a sweater with no tags whatsoever. I received a sweater probably purchased for $1.99 and resold at $50. It went in the trash. Sometimes they're listed as "boutique" items. No brand name means literally junk no matter how good the picture looks.
I made 2 purchases last week. Poshmark took money out of my account right away. 5 days later, i get an email that "seller changed mind." What?! I guess this is a fairly frequent occurence.
Second item was never shipped and no communication from the seller or poshmark. Now, I'm wasting time emailing everyday trying to get my money back. It seemed like a good deal at the time, but now i know it was all a scam. Really, do not bother.

I sold shoes that were new, my pictures reflected it. Returned destroyed and Poshmark credited them back. Now I cannot resell my shoes because they were practically new. I took pictures when they returned and Poshmark said it's hard for us to tell what went on. The credited me $15 in Posh dollars, to be used on them. I was out of over $50. I always got 5 stars with my products. Prior I bought something that didn't fit and I tried to return and they wouldn't allow me, so the way to get your money back is to damage other peoples sold items and send it back. Poshmark should absorb the cost when buyers damage a sellers item, but no... What if my item was hundred and Poshmark issue a $15 credit. I will never buy or sell on their platform. That's why no one wants to go on these sites.
I had two orders I placed and paid for with a seller. I waited and waited for days for her to ship them all the while attempting to ask her what was going on. Now today I get notifications (and my money refunded luckily) that my orders have been cancelled because the seller "changed her mind". According to their rules, this isn't even an option. I am absolutely livid and I think Poshmark is a piece of garbage.
Now I can't cancel my account because of rules that don't apply to me!
Poshmark was the worst “shopping” experience of my 50+years. Don’t bother trying to purchase anything. I needed “gogo” style ankle boots for a theater costume for my daughter. I had over a month to get them. I tried to order Shein boots and the seller never bothered to send them. It took 8 (not 7) days to know the deal fell through. They also had 7 days to ship, which means almost 2 weeks to get an item (ridiculous). I tried again with another seller. Same deal. Neither seller responded to messages. No seller reviews to tell you if a seller is reliable (like Ebay and Amazon). Poshmark customer service was a complete joke. They were no help. In this day and age waiting that long to MAYBE purchase a used item, without returns and without being able to try it on, is totally, totally stupid. Stick with Amazon, they sent me 4 pairs of boots in 2 days (with free returns) and saved the show.
Horrible customer service after updating my listing to reduce the price by only $5 (note, my item is around $200), they refused to make my listing visible because I didn’t have receipt for a now “vintage” item bought 5years+ ago!! Even though I provided the authenticity code in my listing photos. Loosely stating, without a receipt it must be a fake?!!! I pled for an appeal and they didn’t even review my listing or the details I provided. I repeated asked to be forwarded to a manager to further discuss the case and it was ignored. Worst experience. Sadly, never had any issues selling on larger more sophisticated resell platforms such as Vestiaire Collective. Which this item is listed there as well without problem. Honestly, if you have a luxury item sell on VC. Super smooth process from beginning to end. Probably more knowledgeable about designer items than Poshmark.
Sadly, this was my first time experience with Poshmark’s platform as a whole. Not just as seller, makes it considerably challenging for me to make a purchase as a buyer after this experience. I will continue to share my experience across consumer review platforms. To make sellers of authentic luxury items aware of this interaction and hopefully catch the attention of that manager who I asked to be forwarded to twice but clearly never happened.
I'm both a seller and buyer, nd I must say I'm shocked at all the negative experiences I'm reading. I have made alot of money on pm, and bought alot of merchandise. Admittedly some of the items I have had issues with and needed to return, or a seller has not been active and didn't ship out, and that is frustrating. However, everytime I've ever contacted customer service they have always handled my issues promptly and I've recieved my money back.
In fact once I bought a pair of open toe clogs in December last year, wrote a good review, never wore them until March this year but when I had them on for 10 steps the entire shoe came apart!
I contacted pm customer service explained the issue with pics and they refunded me $40.00
I sell on multiple platforms and have had a couple hiccups on a few, but mostly seem to be with dishonest sellers here or there. I just work around them and push the bad energy away instead if welcoming it in to build it up more.
Then things seem to just work out better and better :)
Just seems easier and feels so much better. Good luck to you all :)
Scammers all the way and the company do not help you to investigate anything they don’t care very disappointed!!
Poshmark is horrible and the buyers are even worse shady and picky. I sent shoes that were listed normal wear and tear and the person made lil complaints asked for refund and now I have not got the tracking a response from Poshmark where my shoes or money is and its been over a week. They just send bs auto emails that say nothing of value. This is horrible I will never use this site again and I will be contacting my attorney for a lawsuit since you stole my property and didnt pay me for it.
basically the idea is good but, sellers there suck! No costumer service, everything works robotic so no way to contact seller or Poshmark to complain. Sellers never send articles, never get punished for their behavior, there's no way you can track shipping and you can only cancel like around two weeks if the supposed seller marks item as preparing for shipment wish ads a additional week to your waiting line! this is ridiculous. Once you're able to finally cancel the order, they send you an email saying they will reimburse you, but never say when! what? I filed the complain on Paypal. Still if they don't answer can't get my money back until 17 days or more! are you kidding me? How can this page still exist? it's a rip off
I had significant fraudulent activity on my Poshmark account and Poshmark did not respond to my concern. When they finally responded weeks later they told me that because the purchases were made from my account then they were not considered fraudulent activity. However that is the exact definition of fraud: When someone else Pretends to be me and use my account to make false purchases. I'm extremely disappointed in this company for not protecting my personal information but also not taking action to make things right.
I bought a pair of shorts that did not fit properly (even the seller admitted that this brand ran small). I tried to return my purchase and was denied by customer service at Poshmark. Clearly there is no customer service for buyers. They cater to the seller only. Apparently no refunds whatsoever. Who does business this way and what buyer wants to be stuck with something they'll never wear? I think Poshmark needs to realize that without buyers the company would cease to exist.
Stay off this site. Seller listed a handbag that was not accurate. No strap and sizing off. Customer Service is no where to help and their answer is to REPOSH. So they make more money on your purchase the you just go ripped off for. The email responses from CS is basically programed and they have nothing to do with your problem with the seller or the useless item. How can this be legal? I sent the item back to the seller and will deal with it through my credit card company. I will NEVER deal with this company again. BUYER BEWARE
Don't do anything with this company i tried to sell shoes to another person an still no money ... nor do I have the shoes .... I have written them numerous times an nothing but the run around ..... please don't waste your time sell your stuff on Facebook market place
